Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry

Qualifying to receive Meaningful Use incentive payments requires implementation of certified technology that includes a secure reporting framework for providers and administrators, and analytics to calculate and submit clinical quality measures to CMS. For organizations interested in achieving Meaningful Use certification with a non-certified legacy EHR, with a multiple EHR architecture, or with plans and investments in a clinical data warehouse infrastructure for quality reporting, it is necessary to develop and directly certify custom analytics components, or integrate a pre-certified module into their overall solution.

The Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry (Version 1.0) is a key building block of a certified Meaningful Use architecture for provider organizations. A component of Recombinant's Selectrus Performance Analytics Suite, the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry (Version 1.0) provides a pre-certified calculation and reporting framework, reducing an organization's development and management investment for achieving Meaningful Use, and accelerating the path to achieve full certification.

The Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry (Version 1.0) uses data integrated from multiple source systems, and is certified for calculating and submitting clinical quality measures to CMS. The multi-tier web-based user interface enables providers, analysts and leadership to easily understand Meaningful Use performance through dashboards and drill-down reports, with certified role-based security features.

Key Features:

  • Certified for calculating and submitting clinical quality measures to CMS
  • Certified security features built into the multi-tier web-based reporting user interface that provides dashboards and drill-down reports
  • The Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry EHR Module (Version 1.0) is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), and ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria for Eligible Providers adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

Refer to the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry Certification Details for additional information.

  • Allows Meaningful Use Certification without completing a full upgrade to a certified EHR
  • Allows Meaningful Use Certification with a non-certified EHR or with a multiple-EHR architecture
  • Leverages investments in a clinical data warehouse and allows provider groups to use non-EHR systems as data sources for Meaningful Use reporting
  • Overcome challenges with data that is provided from across multiple IT systems needed for each measure
  • Submit measures in CMS XML formats from existing data sources
  • Population management reporting tools to help manage the achievement of metrics such as "80% of patients seen by EP must have a recorded medication on the medication list"
  • Option to extend registry to support other incentive, risk-sharing, and care coordina¬tion initiatives such as PQRS, HEDIS, Pay-for-Performance, Accountable Care, or Patient Centered Medical Home

A variety of deployment options are available for the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry, allowing clients the flexibility to leverage their existing technology and resources, and incorporate the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry into their overall data strategy and IT architecture:

  • Modular component deployment: The modular design of Recombinant's Selectrus Performance Analytics Suite allows organizations to acquire only the components necessary to extend their existing capabilities. This allows organizations to add the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry to leverage a data warehouse or other available assets for an overall solution. The Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry is also available as an OEM product, allowing HIEs, RECs, EMR vendors, or BI vendors to extend their offerings to customers
  • Hosted registry: For organizations seeking a fully outsourced approach, or for smaller groups with limited infrastructure, Recombinant provides a hosted version of the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry. The hosted registry also assures that the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry always incorporates the most recent updates released by Recombinant as soon as they are available
  • On-site end-to-end delivery: Recombinant can provide the Recombinant Meaningful Use Registry as part of a comprehensive approach with source data interfaces, the Data Trust clinical data warehouse, ETL interfaces, and other analytics and reporting capabilities. This option allows an organization to make a commitment to a full data management strategy, and address Meaningful Use as one of many goals for a new comprehensive clinical data infrastructure
