Senior
Developer
This person will provide technical leadership for
data integration for products and projects involving data integration
for the Recombinant Data Trust and data warehouse clients. The
Recombinant Data Trust is a healthcare data warehouse that integrates
data from clinical applications, research databases and files, and
external standards. The Trust is the basis for integrated data that is
used to populate analytical data structures used to satisfy the
analytical needs for quality reporting and translational research. This
position will work directly under the guidance of Recombinant
leadership and project management, focusing on extraction of data from
source systems, staging data, integration of disparate sources into the
Trust, and preparation of data marts and extracts supporting end user
usage solutions.
Qualifications

A bachelors degree and a minimum of four
years of professional Information Technology experience with a focus on
proven database development and data integration

Data warehouse/data architecture experience
-
Database and data integration scheduling
-
Strong oral/written communication and
interpersonal skills are required for working closely with leaders,
other developers, and customers
-
The candidate must also be able to work as a
team leader to mentor, guide, and direct data integration activities
-
Demonstrated ability to work with little
direct supervision, strong organizational skills, and the ability to
adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

The candidate must be very good at
analyzing, validating, and cleansing data into and within the warehouse
environment

Experience with the following will be
considered a plus:

Hands on experience with more than one ETL
tool
-
Establishment of ETL development processes
and standards
-
Quality assurance methodologies and tools
-
Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouses
and Data Marts

Data Profiling
-
Previous experience in healthcare or closely
related industry, an understanding of healthcare standards (HL7, ICD,
SnoMed, caBig, etc.) and external regulatory compliance (JCAHO, HIPAA,
etc.)

Data stewardship methodologies and
processes
