Team
Recombinant’s delivery team includes
expertise in data analysis, data extraction, data cleaning, data
warehousing, software application engineering, reporting and analytics,
bioinformatics, ontology management, hospital information technology,
healthcare interoperability standards, data governance and project
management.
We combine an agile development methodology and
iterative design approach with on-line project tracking tools that
allow our customers and project teams to collaborate at every step and
have 24x7 visibility into the status of all project tasks.
Every member of our delivery team receives HIPAA
privacy and security training along with IRB compliance training (e.g.,
CITI Program on the protection of human subjects) and is responsible
for identifying and communicating privacy and security risks and
following the Recombinant’s rules for handling data.
Employee Spotlight
Matvey B. Palchuk, MD, MS, Director,
Medical Informatics
Matvey is a physician and an expert in clinical
informatics with strong experience in applied informatics and
informatics research. He received an MD from the University of
Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine
residency program at MCP Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Matvey
finished a Medical Informatics fellowship funded by the National
Library of Medicine at the Children’s Hospital Informatics
Program in Boston. He earned a Master's degree in Medical Informatics
through the Health Sciences and Technology Division of Harvard and MIT.
Matvey’s research interests include data
modeling/representation, standards, electronic medical records and
personal health records, and issues of access control in clinical
applications.
Prior to joining Recombinant, Matvey was an Interlingua Architect at
the Center for Clinical and Translational Science at Harvard University
where he was responsible for creating an infrastructure to support
collaborative environments among Harvard-affiliated hospitals and
research institutions. Matvey has also worked as a Senior Medical
Informatics Specialist in the Clinical Informatics Research &
Development group at Partners HealthCare System where he was a lead
designer and a product manager for an internally-developed ambulatory
electronic medical record system. Matvey’s focus was on user
interface issues, controlled terminologies, software integration and
structured data entry.
Matvey also holds an academic appointment as a
faculty member at the Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI) at
Harvard Medical School.
