Profiles Research Networking Software is a social
networking and expertise mining tool. The open source technology is
implemented by academic institutions seeking to facilitate
collaboration among their
researchers. The software was originally developed as part of
Harvard Catalyst for the Harvard
Clinical and Translational Science Center under the supervision
of
Griffin Weber, MD, PhD, Chief Technology Officer of Harvard Medical
School and Assistant Professor of Medicine through the Beth Israel
Deaconess Medical Center, with a grant from the National Center for
Research Resources
and with support from Harvard University and its affiliated academic
healthcare centers.

private source systems, eliminating redundant administrative effort on
behalf of end users.

Multiple data visualization
methods are available to
explore the networks of both individuals and groups of
researchers.
